Common installation issues

Browser warns "File is unsafe" during download?
Chrome / Edge displays warnings for all executable files (e.g., .exe). Simply click "Keep" on the warning bar. Our installer is signed and verified by Microsoft SmartScreen, and whitelisted by 360, Huorong, and Kaspersky.
360 / Huorong flags the installer as malicious?
Domestic antivirus tools often conservatively block niche software not yet on their VIP whitelist. Click "Allow all operations" to proceed. If your corporate devices enforce strict policies, contact support for a customized silent installer.
No tray icon appears after launch?
Check Task Manager forelectron.exe. If absent → reboot once; if present but no tray icon → Windows notification area may be collapsed—click the ^ arrow on the left of the tray to expand.
Clicking "Launch Profile" does nothing?
Common causes: (1) Hiddle client isn’t running; (2) Port 9222 is occupied by another Chrome instance—close all Chrome windows and retry; (3) Windows Firewall blocked it—on first launch, a prompt appears; click "Allow access".
How do I upgrade to a new version?
The client auto-checks for updates and notifies you. You can also re-download the latest package from this page and install it over the current one—all profiles, cookies, and login states remain intact.
Can I use it purely via CLI—no GUI?
Yes. Hiddle is built on Electron + custom-compiled Chromium + an HTTP control server. After installation,Hiddle.exe --headlesslaunch headless mode, and manage all profiles viahttp://127.0.0.1:65526REST APIs.API documentation(In development).
